![]() Setting the sfall resolution to 1920x1080 means you can safely set the high-res patch resolution to 960x540, and that's basically a widescreen version of 640x480. See, the reason for all this is that you want to end up with a high-res patch config resolution that's somewhere near the game's original resolution, which is 640x480. Now start the game, and everything looks as it should. Then open the f2_res_config.exe (the f2res.ini actually does nothing, you need to open this exe), and set the resolution to 960x540. First, open ddraw.ini and set the Graphics mode to 4, and graphicsWidth/Height to 1920x1080. What a mess! And they're configured wrong, so the game gets scaled way too far up, people look like ants, the text is unreadable and the windows look all wrong on your widescreen monitor. You've just downloaded Fallout 2 from Steam, and it comes with both sfall and the high resolution patch. this way it will not work for fallout1 you either need to switch to fallout:ettu and set it up, or download FO1 HRP + sfall1 by crafty specifically made for Fo1 ( HRP needs to be enabled by a patcher first then) No woonder as i said above You're using sfall and HRP for/from Fallout2. ![]() Simplest solution is to get Fallout:EtTu and play Fo1 that way all Fo2 modifications work with it. Fallout 1 and Fallout2 engines are not the same. For fallout 1 engine you need both sfall and HRP made specially for Fallout1. Standard sfall from Fo2 will *not* work for fallout1 engine. no need to set dx9 mode or resolution in sfall1 then. ![]() simply put patch the executable to enable High resolution patch and set your monitor resolution and colour bits to 32 bit + set 2x scaling in f2res.ini. To pull off what you want in F01 You need both sfall1 and high resolution patch 4.1.8 for Fo1 version. ![]() Sfall1 is hard to find where as standard sfall works only on Fo2 engine (both Fo2 and all of it's mods) Fo:EtTu is a fallout 2 mod. Fo2 ddraw.dll and ddraw.ini don't work for original Fo1 ( sfall1 by crafty only works for fo1) If you want to use Fo2 stuff install Fallout:Et Tu, so called Fo1 in Fo2 engine. ![]()
